Technical SEO for better results and more Traffic

When it comes to SEO people generally talk about only on-page and off-page SEO but the majorly ignored one is the technical SEO. It is so because Technical SEO is the one that is the trickiest and difficult to master.

The search engine pages have three important pillars, namely on-page SEO, off-page SEO and Technical SEO. In this blog, I will be discussing

about improving site performance and rank it over Search Engine Result Pages by improving the technical SEO health checkup.

The huge competition out there demands websites that successfully performs on the major three factors they are Crawalbility, Speed and Security of a website. So, if you also have all those questions running in your mind that how can your website be at the top, then technical SEO is the answer to it.

What does Technical SEO mean?
Technical SEO is the optimization that is helpful in making a website more efficient to crawl and index on Google. Now, this optimization is responsible for delivering the right content from your website to the users.

There are many factors that are counted for technical SEO. Some common ones are site errors, broken links, image optimization, delivery of content, coding, navigation of your website, the sitemap and robots.txt file.

So, when talking about technical SEO these are the major and essential points one has to remember and cover-up in their website.

Moving ahead let's discuss some of the quick and easy SEO audits that you can perform and increase your site value.

1. The Crawalbility of your website

The first and most important thing you need to check is to make sure that your website is easily Crawlable.
Let's say you are consistent with your content writing part and regularly spending hours and coming up with interesting and valuable content but what if the search engines are unable to crawl these contents and index them for users to read them.
Now, the first step you have to take is checking your robots.txt file as this is the first thing that the "crawlers" Or the "spiders" visit when they land up to grow your website. Your robots.txt file provides an access to these bots regarding which pages are supposed to be crawled and which not. This is done by the "allowing" And "Disallowing" Words used at the user agent.

Robots.txt is a public file and can easily be found by adding /robots.txt at the end of the domain. Ex-
Here it is generally preferred to allow the sitemap URL so that the crawlers can get the crawling done to all the pages. And when we talk about disallowing make sure you have not disallowed the important pages of your website.
In order to check your robots.txt file, you can land up to the Google search console and check your file by just adding the URL. If there are any errors or warnings with your file Google Search console will mark them and this will help you to remove such errors and move ahead with your technical SEO.

2. Using an easy Navigation and Organised Site structure

Everyone likes to land upon an organised site and it is required for you that your website must have a flat and Organised structure.
Not only for the users but also for Google the flat structure and easy navigation make it much easier with regards to the crawling process and the search engines are able to crawl 100℅ of your website pages.

Generally for a blog or a small website the navigation and maintaining a flat structure is easy but when it comes to an E-Commerce website it becomes quite difficult for them as they have thousands of product pages and so here it must be kept in mind that the website is designed with easy navigation and a well-organized structure.

3. A consistent and easy to understand URL Structure

Having a good and easy to understand URL Structure will work well for your website this work becomes much easy if you own a blog. Going for a consistent and logical URL Structure will help the users to understand where they are navigating in your website and also it will help them to return back to any other website page.
Having different categories is also advised when talking about a consistent and logical URL Structure. It gives the Search Engines a brief idea about each page in the category.

4. Internal Linking to "Deep" Pages

The home page is the one that can be indexed very easily, but when it is about the deep pages that we often forget, these are the ones that we miss and also get missed by the Search Engines because they are not indexed.
Using a well-organised architecture for your website can eliminate your problem with deep not indexed pages. Along with this, you can also use the method of internal linking.
Remember to interlink all your pages so that when the crawling is done your deep pages are not left unindexed.

5. Set up Structure Data

Though this factor has nothing to do with your rankings but using Structured Data Schema will give your pages impressive and rich snippets. The rich snippets are the eye-catchers and they stand out in the Search Engine Result Pages making the users click and helping you to improve your website click-through rate.
